Following the successful completion of the project to revamp the children’s play area at a popular Cadishead Park, we donated £400 to cover the cost of plant supplies.
We collaborated with Salford Council and the Friends of Lordy Park residents’ group to make the site easier for wheelchair users and people with pushchairs.
We installed new play equipment, including a wheelchair-accessible roundabout, swings for children with disabilities or parents and toddlers and a new adventure trail with a safer rubber surface underneath.
Our team attended residents meeting to field questions and help locals understand the progress of the works and what the final product would look like. Our donation covered the cost of additional plants to brighten up the areas surrounding the finished play area.
Marc Richardson of Groundwork said, “The passion and commitment of the local residents and Friends of Lordy Park was a real inspiration from day one. It was a great pleasure to contribute to the development of Cadishead Park to add colour and flowers to the newly revamped area.”
